在6月26日和6月27日，我们举行了备受瞩目的2023届PYP毕业展，主题为“Movers and Shakers”（引领者与改变者）。这次展览是五年级孩子们两个月来辛勤努力的结晶，为我们的毕业季锦上添花。

June 26th  and 27th  saw the culmination of two months of hard work by our year five students as we presented the 2023 PYP Exhibition, “Movers and Shakers” to fellow students, parents and teachers.

热情洋溢的学生们亲自邀请参展者来观赏他们的展台，并分享他们在过去两个月中的探索、行动和所学知识。参展者们对于学生们富有创意的海报、图纸、视频、表演、漫画书和演示纷纷赞叹不已。

The students enthusiastically invited visitors to visit their booths and shared with them what they had been working on for the last two months, the research they had done, the actions they had taken and the knowledge they had acquired. The visitors admired the creatively designed posters, drawings, videos, performances, comic books, and demonstrations.

这次毕业展让学生、老师和家长们更深入地了解了五年级学生们选择的主题，以及与主题相关的有趣知识和信息。孩子们向大家展示了他们是如何采取行动、发挥作用、分享兴趣并改善社区的。

Students, teachers and parents learnt interesting facts and information about the year five students’ chosen topics and how they took action to make a difference and share their interests with the community.

参展者们还参与了丰富多彩的互动活动，包括小测验、游戏和音乐课。其中，川菜组向参展者展示了烹饪示范和美食品尝，舞蹈和音乐组教授小提琴课，运动组教授任意球课，人工智能组举办了机器人格斗比赛，航空组进行了飞行模拟器操作，食品制作组和健康食品组准备了美味的点心，手工制品组组织了创意游戏活动，而电子工程组展示了遥控汽车和电路板的应用，这些都是毕业展中的亮点。

Visitors to the exhibition also took part in interactive activities such as quizzes, games, music lessons and more. Some of the highlights were the Sichuan food group treating visitors to a cooking demonstration and food tasting, the dance and music group teaching violin lessons, the sports group giving free-throw lessons, the AI group having a robot fighting contest, the aviation group’s flight simulator, the food production and healthy food groups’ tasty treats, the handmade products group’s creative craft activities and the electronics group’s remote-controlled car and circuit board demonstrations.

今年毕业展的一大亮点是“采取行动”。许多小组在这方面实现了自我的突破。毕业展的核心理念是“分享我们的兴趣，为社区带来有意义的变化”。在我们学习的社区——PYP大家庭中，许多小组和比自己年幼的学生交流了他们感兴趣的话题和技能。比如，电子组向一年级和幼儿园的同学教授了关于电路板及其应用的课程，体育组教授了三年级关于高尔夫球的规则和基本技能，人工智能组在学校举办了三四年级的编程比赛，健康食品组向社区居民分发了健康食品，并教授了如何准备健康的美食等等。

A particular highlight of this year’s PYPX was the “taking action” aspect. Many of the groups really outdid themselves in this area. As the central idea of this year’s PYPX was “Sharing our interests to bring about meaningful change in the community” many of the group’s efforts focused on teaching younger students about their topics of interest or teaching them skills. A few examples included, the electronics group teaching a class to our own year ones and at a local kindergarten on the topic of circuit boards and their uses, the sports group teaching year three students about the rules and basic skills of golf, the AI group holding a coding contest for other year levels at school, the healthy food group handing out healthy food and educating people in their community on how to prepare healthy dishes, and many more.

毫无疑问，这些活动中的许多参与者在心中都种下了有关探究内容的种子，并逐渐提高了相关意识。我们希望通过这样的形式，鼓励每个人改变不良习惯和生活方式，或者引导孩子们培养新的爱好，这将对他们的生活产生积极的影响。

There is no doubt that many of these events have raised awareness and planted a seed in the minds of others. Hopefully this will encourage them to change their habits and lifestyles or take up new hobbies or pastimes that will have a positive benefit on their lives.

总而言之，我们五年级的学生们为他们在过去两个月中的努力和成果感到自豪。这段经历将成为他们回味无穷的美好记忆。毕业展的成功和我们从中获得的启示将使他们在进入下一个学习阶段时充满自信，迈向新的高度。

All in all, our year five students can feel proud of their efforts and the work they completed the last two months. This is definitely an experience they can look back on with fond memories. The success of this exhibition and the lessons learned will give them confidence and self-belief in their abilities as they graduate and move on to the next phase in their education.
